Most of my research career focused on the endocrine and neuroendocrine control of reproduction, with a special emphasis on the control of puberty in the male. Other major collaborative studies have included hormonal control of spermatogenesis, use of Sertoli cells as an immunoprotective for islet cell transplants and the cardiac endocrine system's control of salt and water. Recently my scholarly interests have shifted to those factors tha can predict success in medical school with a particular emphasis on Emotional Intelligence.
